Workshare was unable to create a reply email. Ensure that your default mail program in Internet Explorer is set correctly.
Scenario
SCENARIO 1:- Compare any two documents.
- Go to the Email - More options and select your preferred redline format (DOCX, DOC, PDF) and click OK.
- Notice the error message appears: Workshare was unable to create a reply email. Ensure that your default mail program in Internet Explorer is set correctly.
SCENARIO 2:
- Open any document in Word.
- Go to the Workshare ribbon and select Convert to PDF - Convert to PDF and email.
- Convert to PDF dialogue box appears, click Create.
- Notice the error message: Workshare was unable to create a reply email. Ensure that your default mail program in internet explorer is set correctly.
- Notice another error message appears: Could not send email. Failed to create and send the email.
Resolution
This issue usually occurs if the default profile is used because there is only one profile for Outlook and the profile prompt is turned off.- Exit Outlook.
- In the Control Panel, select Mail.
- Click Show Profiles.
- Under When starting Microsoft Outlook, use this profile, select Always use this profile.
- Click Apply.
- Close the Control Panel and launch Outlook.

If so, they both indicate there is a problem with the MS Office install. It cannot create an instance of Outlook because the type libraries are not registered. This could be caused by the user downgrading from Office 2013/16 to Office 2010. Please refer to this article for more details:
