Workshare's syncing right-click options do not appear in iManage

Follow these steps to manually add Workshare online options ("Send to Workshare", "Sync from Workshare" and "Stop syncing from Workshare") if they're missing from DeskSite or FileSite.

Scenario

When you have the Workshare iManage File Sharing & DMS Mobility integration (Workshare.Integrations.Bundle.exe) installed, you may find that when you right-click a folder in DeskSite or FileSite, the Workshare options shown below do not appear.

There are three options when you right-click a folder: "Send to Workshare", "Sync from Workshare", and "Stop syncing from Workshare".

You may also find that when you right-click a file in DeskSite or FileSite, the Workshare options shown below do not appear.

There are two Workshare options when you right-click a file: "Send to Workshare" and "Sync from Workshare".

Workaround

To workaround the issue, manually enter the references for the Workshare options in the registry key for DeskSite or FileSite.
  1. Go to Start > Regedit.exe. You'll need administrative privileges to make changes in certain places.
  2. To manually enter the references for the folder-level options:
    1. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Interwoven\WorkSite\Client\DeskSite\Commands\Popup Menus\Folder
If you are having an issue with FileSite, replace "DeskSite" in the key above with "FileSite".

When you select "Folder" from the left pane of the registry editor, an option appears in the right pane called "Commands"
  1. Backup the registry key (Right-click the registry key, click Export, and choose a known location to save it).
  2. In the Registry Editor, double-click the Commands value name in the right-hand pane. If the following Workshare commands do not exist in Value data, add them to the location of your choice (the order of the commands in Value Data dictates the order of commands in the context menu): Workshare.Desktop.Autonomy.Commands.FolderSendToWSCommand,Workshare.Desktop.Autonomy.Commands.FolderSyncItemsCommand,Workshare.Desktop.Autonomy.Commands.FolderCeaseCollaborationCommand

To manually enter the references for the file-level commands:
  1. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Interwoven\WorkSite\Client\DeskSite\Commands\Menus\Document
If you are having an issue with FileSite, replace "DeskSite" in the key above with "FileSite".
  1. Backup the registry key. (Right-click the registry key, click Export, and choose a known location to save it.)
  2. In the Registry Editor, double-click the Commands value name in the right-hand pane. If the following Workshare command does not exist in Value data, add it to the location of your choice (the order of the commands in Value Data dictate the order of commands in the context menu): Workshare.Desktop.Autonomy.Commands.DocumentSendToWSCommand,Workshare.Desktop.Autonomy.Commands.DocumentSyncItemsCommand

Important Note:
If you've performed the steps above but find the commands revert to default when you re-launch DeskSite/FileSite or restart the machine, check if AppSense software is installed. If it is, add the Workshare commands to the correct registry locations from AppSense server, as above.
