Kyocera printer issue with Workshare Compare

See how to resolve the issue of Workshare Compare crashing when printing a comparison to Kyocera printers.


Scenario

After upgrading to Windows 10 version 1809, you may notice that printing a comparison from Workshare Compare causes the machine to crash when Kyocera printers are set as the default printer. To workaround this, please see the steps below.

1. Open the Windows Control Panel
2. Click Hardware and Sound and then Devices & Printers
3. Right-click on your "Kyocera" printer from the list and select Printing preferences
5. Click on the Imaging tab
6. Click Fonts...
7. In the Font Settings window, check the option Disable device fonts then click Ok

Workaround 2

After comparing the documents in Workshare Compare, right-click on the redline and click 'Edit Redline'.

This will launch the redline document in Microsoft Word. Select File and click Print.
