How to add a shortcut for Workshare Compare for Excel to your Windows Start menu folder

Scenario

After the installation of Workshare Professional 10 or Workshare Compare for Excel, you might notice that the shortcut for Workshare Compare for Excel is not present in your Windows Start Menu or on your desktop.

Workaround

To create a shortcut for Workshare Compare for Excel in your Windows Start menu folder please follow the steps outlined below:
1. Navigate to the following location:
C:\Users\Public\Desktop
2. Copy the Workshare Compare for Excel shortcut
3. Paste the shortcut in the following path:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Workshare 

To create a shortcut for Workshare Compare for Excel on your desktop please follow the steps outlined below:
1. Navigate to the following location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Workshare\Workshare.ExcelCompare - For 32 bit Workshare
or
C:\Program Files\Workshare\Workshare.ExcelCompare - For 64 bit Workshare
2. Right-click on Workshare Compare for Excel application
3. Select 'Create Shortcut'
4. Click 'Yes' in the window that opens up

You should now have the Workshare Compare for Excel shortcut on your desktop and in the Windows Start menu folder.
