Set the "Check-out the files from iManage" option as deselected by default in FileSite

By default, this option is checked. You can change this so it's unchecked by default.


Scenario

When you right-click a file in the FileSite Matter view and choose Send to Workshare, the resulting dialog box will have the option Check-out the files from iManage selected by default.

When you right-click a file, the option says "Send file to Workshare".

The "Check-out the files from iManage" option is at the bottom of the dialog.

If you would like the option deselected by default, you can add a registry key.

Resolution

  1. Open the Registry Editor (Start > Regedit.exe). You'll need administrative privileges to make changes in certain places.
  2. Navigate to the Options key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Workshare\Integrations\imanage\Options 
  3. Back up the registry key:
    1. Right-click the registry key.
    2. Click Export.
    3. Choose a known location to save it.
  4. In the right pane of the Registry Editor, right-click and select New > String Value.
  5. Name the new value: DefaultCheckOutDocuments
  6. Right-click the newly created DefaultCheckOutDocuments key and select Modify... The Edit String dialog box will be displayed.
  7. In the Value data: field, set the value to: False
  8. Click OK.
  9. Close the Registry Editor.
