- Protect Server:
- Is a server-side component connecting to Exchange through a hub transport agent.
- Is part of a setup where all processing is done centrally in a couple of load-balanced servers after the user has sent the email. There is no user interaction during email send.
- Supports email from any device within the corporate network (including mobile devices and webmail).
- Includes functionality to update the Sent Items folder with the cleaned/processed copy to reflect the version that the recipient received.
- Protect Desktop:
- Includes a Windows desktop component and an Outlook add-in.
- Is part of a setup where all processing is done before the email leaves the user’s Outlook. The user can interact with the tool while sending email.
