When you’re using Firefox or Chrome to access iManage Work 10, you need to install a Workshare patch to be able to select your Work 10 files for comparison with the Workshare desktop application.
With Workshare WIIS 1.1 and Workshare Compare Desktop 9.5.4 installed, you can select files from iManage Work 10 via a browser and choose to compare them with the Workshare desktop application (as opposed to comparing them online).
To use this functionality with Chrome or Firefox, you need to install a patch. The zip file including the patch is attached to this article.
Note: The patch is not required to use this functionality with Internet Explorer 11.
To install the patch:
- Download 32bit.zip or 64bit.zip according to your environment and unzip the contents.
- Copy Workshare.iManageWork10.Connector.exe into the Workshare installation directory.
- Add the shellcommand.reg key to the Registry.
You can now select your iManage Work 10 files via Chrome and Firefox (as well as Internet Explorer) and choose to compare them with the Workshare Compare desktop application.
